We Are The in Crowd- Weird Kids

This is the first new music the band has released since 2011, and I’m hooked. This band has grown immensely and their sound has matured well. It’s edgy, yet poppy, and I love it.

Modern Baseball- You’re Gonna Miss It All

I can’t get this album out of my head. The songs are short and punchy, while providing a variety of songs for everyone. I’ve had this album on repeat since it came out.

Bayside- Cult

While I haven’t listened to this band in a while, when Cult was released I decided to check it out, and I don’t regret it. I feel as though Bayside went back to their roots, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Brand New- Discography

My friends & I bought tickets to get see them this summer, and there’s an hour or so everyday that I decide I want to listen to nothing but Brand New.

Bleachers- “I Wanna Get Better”

For those that don’t know me, I’m a huge fan of the band Fun. so when Jack announced his new side project, I got really excited. What I love about this song is that it’s pop in it’s purest form: it’s catchy, will get stuck in your head, makes you want to dance, and will leave you feeling happy.

Front Porch Step- Aware

I went to the Acoustic Basement Tour last week, and Front Porch Step really stuck out to me. He was nothing but honest with the crowd in both spoken words and his music. To me, songwriting should be emotion-filled and raw, and he really captures that.

What are you listening to these days?

Just Another Manic Monday… Or Is It?

Mondays can be rough.

Maybe you’ve had a super awesome weekend, and you don’t want it to end.

Perhaps your weekend was less than stellar, but you feel as though the week will just be worse.

No matter what your story is, sometimes we could all use a little Monday motivation to start the week off right.

Here’s a few things to do not just on Monday, but all through the week to keep motivated and productive:

  • Go out this week and do something you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t done.
  • Break a sweat. Whether it’s bike riding, going to the gym, doing yoga, playing tennis, or cleaning your house, it doesn’t matter. Just get moving!
  • Make a to-do list. There’s nothing more motivating than the feeling of slowly checking off everything you’ve put on there.
  • Smile! Especially if you don’t feel like it.
  • Text that friend you’ve been meaning to catch up with, and set a time to ACTUALLY get together.
  • Find quotes that inspire you, and reflect on how they can help you in your life.
  • Take twenty minutes for yourself. Watch a sitcom on Netflix, start journaling, or just sit down and make a cup of hot chocolate.
  • Realize that everyday can be a new beginning. You don’t need the New Year to bring change into your life.
  • Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re awesome!
  • Write down a plan of how you could make your dreams a reality, even if it seems outrageous.

Mondays are best when handled with a positive mental attitude, so put a smile on your face, and show the world how incredible you can be!
